About the Journal

Advanced Technology in Neuroscience (ATN) is an international peer-reviewed, open-accessed journal which publishes quarterly. The journal aims to report the innovative technologies applied in the broad field of neuroscience. This multidisciplinary journal focuses on the integration of technology with neuroscience to explore the complexities of the brain and the nervous system. ATN provides a platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge research and state-of-the-art technological advancements in the field of neuroscience.

ATN focuses on rapidly publishing innovative basic research articles in the aforementioned and related fields, comprehensive and systematic   review articles addressing current hot topics, perspective and commentary articles with relevance to readers, evidence-based medical articles with in-depth analyses, and innovative articles describing the clinical applications and translational value of innovative neuroscientific technologies and methods. It is hoped that ATN will quickly grow into a highly ranked international journal with significant influence in the field of neuroscience.


Aims:

(1) To introduce and explore innovative technologies that advance our understanding of the brain and its functions.

(2) To promote interdisciplinary collaboration and exchange of ideas between experts in neuroscience, engineering, computer science, and related fields.

(3) To promote the application of advanced technologies in neuroscience research, diagnosis, and treatment.

(4) To publish high-quality research articles, review articles and perspective articles that highlight the latest technological developments in neuroscience.


The scope of ATN includes, but not limited to:

(1) The utilization of multi-omics technologies in neuroscience: including genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, single-cell multi-omics, single-cell transcriptome sequencing, spatial omics, and comprehensive multi-omics analysis.

(2) Biophysical technologies applied in neuroscience: including computational biophysics, thermodynamics, kinetics methods, biomechanics, biophotonics, and bioelectrochemistry among others.

(3) The application of organoid and assembloid technologies in the field of neuroscience: including CRISPR screening with organoids, studying genes linked to neurodevelopmental disorders, in vivo self-assembly of neural interfaces, employing organoids for drug screening in neurological ailments, and conducting single-cell RNA sequencing in organoid cultures.

(4) The application of computer and electronic engineering technologies in the field of neuroscience: including brain-machine interfaces, neural prosthetics, virtual and augmented reality systems, robotics, and methods for modulating neural activity like deep brain stimulation, transcranial magnetic stimulation, spinal cord stimulation, vagus nerve stimulation, reactive nerve stimulation, and optogenetics.

Readers of ATN are neuroscience experts coming from all over the world. The journal aims to provide a platform for the experts involved in basic neuroscience research, computational science, bioinformatics, engineering technology, and interdisciplinary research to exchange academic, technical and translational information, thereby sharing innovative technological developments in the field of neuroscience.
